For our customer Roche Diagnostics International AG based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a highly qualified Solution Engineer / Systems of Systems Engineer.

As a Solution Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the Solution Development & Integration organization (Solution stands for "System of Systems" in this context). Our team of systems engineers supports development and integration of next generation central lab physical and digital products focusing on seamless interoperability between analyzers, workflow products, and IT systems. We take pride in translating customer and business needs into high-level solution requirements, designing comprehensive architectures, and developing technically feasible design concepts. Based on solid systems engineering principles, we integrate our products into end-to-end settings that closely resemble customer workflows, resulting in a more seamless and satisfactory customer experience.

The perfect candidate: We are looking for a professional candidate that is experienced within the software or hardware development cycle especially in the definition phase. The position requires very good soft skills because it is a co support and co lead position with different stakeholders and teams.

Tasks & Responsibilities :

• Co-define solutions across the portfolio to enact the company's strategy
• Drive analysis, assessment and design among architects and system definition teams of involved products to solve portfolio-level design challenges.
• Support strategy workshops by ensuring that solutions considered are feasible and sustainable.
• Understand existing functional and technical requirements and expectations, and assist identifying and shaping missing ones.
• Collaborate in the solution architecture definition together with the different system teams
• Ensure that design decisions fulfill various constraints (organization, regulations, budget, tools, people, etc.).
• Ensure that the organization is informed, consulted, and stands behind those solutions.
• Proactively communicate the important topics to various business, project, regulatory and technical stakeholders in a language they understand.
• Play your part in fostering a good "solution culture" where people from different organizations work happily together.

Must Haves:

• Degree in software development or engineering or similar educational background
• Min 4-5 years of experience as Solution architect and within requirement management, preferably in the diagnostics sector
• Experience within the software or hardware development cycle, especially in the definition phase
• Experience with requirements collecting and understanding from different teams and stakeholders and translate their needs into technical and functional designs
• Experience in documenting the technical and functional requirements and support in workshops
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Negotiation, communication and cooperation skills
• Teamplayer
