Job Overview

The Sr Sales Mgr CAM/IS/Distribution position has responsibility for managing various Tier 1s & Inside Sales & Distribution Account Managers & and their related account activities. The Sr. Sales Manager will be responsible for measure and drive growth strategies for various territories. Also, the Account Manager will work together with all Automotive team members to drive maximum penetration of TE’s products, while managing key customer accounts and the overall day-to-day business relationship between TE and tier one module maker accounts. The Sr. Manager Sales will report to the VP of Sales Automotive Americas will be located in Troy, MI location.

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and to develop personnel.
  • Drive strategy, execution and talent (SET).
  • Report and monitor key metrics to drive corporate goals, such as new business wins, revenue reporting, accounts receivable collections, revenue forecast accuracy, and other business-related drivers.
  • Negotiate customer terms and conditions.
  • Leverage knowledge of Automotive Market to drive development and implementation strategies for the assigned Territory accounts.
  • Develop budget and forecast for territory, across multiple Account Managers.
  • Liaison for customer specifications and requirements, to support development of new product offerings.
  • Provide customer service and consultative selling skills to ensure maximum revenue, profitability, and territory growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships at multiple levels in the customer base to position TE as a strategic partner to the customer.
  • Maintain awareness in regards to industry trends and competitive activity within the territory.
  • Drive sales growth through maximization of resources and execution of market segment strategies.
  • Effectively communicate with all other Automotive team members to promote the business needs of the territory to foster growth.Protect current market share and identify key projects and opportunities to grow.
  • Create opportunities for TE to expand into adjacent technologies and applications.
  • Define and clearly articulate account strategy to senior leadership.
  • Develop strong customer relationships with regular interaction ensuring expectations/requirements are being met and issues are resolved quickly.
  • Drive strategy and execution of the channel sales for Auto AMS

What your background should look like:

Educational Degree:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or electrical Engineering or Business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience 10+ years. MBA preferred.

Professional Experience (years in what processes and function):

  • 7-10 years of experience in sales or sales leadership roles with increases in scope, responsibilities, and results

Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience leading, motivating, and developing talent for future leadership roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, crediblerelationships with multiple organization functions (internal & external)
  • Strong business and financial acumen and the ability to work to deadlines and challenging targets
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally & internationally (+15%)

"Nice to have" qualifications, not required:

  • Previous experience with automotive, even across different functions, preferred
  • Previous experience in engineering / design preferred

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $150,000 – 200,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
