We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer with profound knowledge of DB2 LUW databases. Key responsibilities 

• Specifying, implementing and maintaining databases
• Database monitoring of processes, objects and reports
• Managing database objects (tablespaces, tables, indexes, etc.)
• Developing and implementing backup, recovery and restart procedures for databases
• Optimizing database access (space management, tuning, performance, etc.)
• Advising and supporting application development regarding logical design, database technology and database operation
• Contributing to data protection and data security compliance

Your skills

• Degree in computer science, business information technology or comparable professional experience
• Ability to innovate and openness for new technologies, such as Cloud Computing, AI and other database systems like PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Flexibility and ability to work in a team and independently
• Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English
• Conceptual and analytical skills as well as networked thinking
• Willingness for occasional on-call duty
