Academia International School is an English-speaking grammar school in Basel and Zurich preparing students for an international university entrance qualification. We follow the British International Curriculum (IGCSEs and A Levels). We are a multi-cultural, city center school who aims to provide academic excellence in a cosy, caring environment. Academia International School started in 2009 in Basel. We have grown steadily since then and opened another school in Zurich in 2019.

Role Overview:

As a Digital Learning & ICT Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the integration and effective use of digital learning tools and ICT resources within our educational institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and training to staff and students on digital learning platforms, educational softwares, and ICT tools
  • Assist in the development and implementation of digital learning strategies and initiatives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Manage and maintain ICT infrastructure, including computers, and other classroom technologies
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in digital learning and education technology
  • Create and update documentation and guides for ICT resources and digital learning tools

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably within an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of digital learning platforms (e.g., LMS, e-learning tools. Bromcom) and ICT resources
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Passion for education and a commitment to enhancing the learning experience through technology
