Global Warehouses Manager

What this position is about - Purpose:

The role is set up as part of Warehouse Excellence team concentrated on Central Warehouses under Global HQ Governance. Following successful roll out of WH Excellence program for Finished Goods Warehouses around the world, strategic focus for warehouses will be extended to other Central Warehouses starting with Leaf Central Hub in Antwerp (Tabaknatie WH) and followed by Central NTM Warehouse (if decided).

The role is accountable and responsible for the development and deployment of the warehouse excellence model to Leaf Warehouses to drive more warehouse functional capabilities and efficiencies. Ensures a healthy pipeline of improvement projects generated by the playbook deployment in Central Warehouses while governing operations in these warehouses and playing an interim role between business and supplier. In that manner efficient and effective SRM is important role for the position.

Key responsibilities:

• Govern the development of playbook for Leaf Warehousing operations with close coordination with Leaf Planning function and others department. Following development of playbook, it is also expected to deploy playbook and identify initiatives to foster continues improvement projects similar to WH Excellence program for FG Warehouses. Main focus WH will Central Leaf WH in Antwerp (Tabaknatie) for the development and deployment of playbook.
• Ensure the right performance parameters are set for Central Leaf Warehouse and are followed in close coordination with relevant stakeholders such as Leaf Planning, GSC procurement, GBS and Factories. Such defined parameters may be deployed to JTI Leaf Warehouses simultaneously. Actions both for JTI and supplier side must be followed to ensure right steps are taken by all parties to drive continuous improvement in efficiencies in Warehousing operations.
• Govern the Supplier Relationship Management activities among with Procurement teams and play an active intermediate role between JTI functions and supplier to achieve a win-win situation. Manages annual audits with relevant stakeholders from Insurance, FM Global, Security. Lead the continuous improvement projects to drive efficiencies and deliver benefits in terms of financials, agility and capability.
• Develop long term strategy for Leaf Warehousing by assessing best optimum solutions in terms of supply chain resistance and optimization. Manages the annual operational budget preparation and monitors actuals associated to Central warehouses.
• Following approvals (if occurs) ensure all milestones completed as per expectations for Central NTM Warehouse such as deciding on right location, choosing right 3PL, establishing right processes and flows either it is financial or logistic.
• Potential other new Global Warehouses (Central RRP WH) will fall under responsibility of this role with the above mentioned task similar to Antwerp and Central NTM WH.

Qualification requirements:

• 7+ years experience in Supply chain management, Logistics and/or Warehousing or Distribution are preferred backgrounds
• Extensive experience with data analytics, change & project management
• Strong in conflict resolution skills, resilience and stakeholder management
• Fluent English, French/ German/ Dutch is a plus
• Leadership skills and people management experience applied in large & complex operations
• Advanced MS office, Excel, Power BI, SAP and IBP and any Simulation software

Location:

The role will be based in Antwerp, Belgium. For applicants from Trier, Germany or Netherlands home-based option is possible.
