Your role

As Senior Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst at Bank J. Safra Sarasin you are in charge of producing credit risk assessments for Corporates, Financial institutions and Sovereigns for the benefit of the Group Credit Committee and provide credit opinions and recommendations on the counterparty and related transactions in due time, ensuring high quality of the credit portfolio.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth financial statements analysis of Corporates, Financial Institutions & Sovereigns to assess counterparty creditworthiness
  • Formulate credit view on Bilateral and Syndicated loans as well as long term Bond holdings and Derivatives
  • Monitor market news and research / monitor credit portfolio for early warning indicators
  • Assist trading desks for flow business: assess counterparty risk, documentation and limit set up for OTC derivatives, Repos & Securities Lending
  • Assess and negotiate credit terms in the legal documentation (Bilateral and Syndicated loans, Underwriting, Master Agreements for OTC derivatives, Repos and Securities Lending)
  • Liaise with the Risk Office on Credit limit monitoring, country risk and large exposure
  • Participate in credit policies and procedures review
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Participate in new credit related projects or activities of the bank as they arise

Your profile

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Econometrics, Finance or in a related field or completed apprenticeship or similar banking education
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in corporate credit risk analysis (experience in financial institutions credit risk is a plus)
  • Experience in credit & banking products (bilateral and Syndicated loans, bonds, OTC derivatives, Repos and Securities lending) and related legal documentations (facility agreements, ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA)
  • Knowledge of VBA or a coding language is a plus but not essential
  • Strong commitment and team spirit, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to the fast and dynamic environment
  • Independent and flexible working style, contributing to the team spirit in a dynamic and fast pace environment
  • Solid organizational skills with strong work ethics and a high level of accountability
  • Fluent in English and fluency in German is a plus
