We are seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Consultant for our Service and Operations Planning Group in the U.S. This position will be responsible for delivering projects and designing and executing methodologies for network planning, service planning, and operations analysis and planning. You will be part of an innovative team, contributing to the modernization of rail systems in North America and reporting to a Principal Consultant.   • Deliver rail operations consulting projects
  • Act as Project Manager and ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery of deliverables to clients
  • Refine, present and implement project methodologies
  • Instruct and supervise Analysts and Consultants on projects
  • Interface and maintain relationships with clients, project stakeholders, and partner firms
  • Report project status, incl. budget and project schedule, to Principal Consultant
  • Execute specialty project tasks that require technical expertise with regards to rail consulting
  • Support business development to win rail projects
  • Monitor clients’ RFPs and actively identify opportunities throughout the project
  • Prepare proposals and pursuits, including the development of project methodologies, budgets and schedules
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, or related field
  • At least 5 years of related experience with consulting for railway projects with focus on rail strategic transportation planning/urban planning/operations planning/route management etc.
  • Demonstrable project management experience, including the ability to deliver on competing project deadlines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated experience presenting to clients
  • Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Business-oriented mindset with an understanding of the rail consulting business line
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in rail transportation planning tools such as Viriato, RailSys, and Visum

We offer an annual gross salary between $100,000 and $145,000 for full-time employment, depending on professional qualifications and experience.
