Prof. Henri Lorach within an interdisciplinary team at UNIL is seeking a 1st Assistant with expertise in deep learning and brain computer interfaces to develop neuroprosthetic strategies to restore neurological functions.
Expected start date in position: 01.05.2024 / to be agreed
Contract length: 1 year, renewable on agreement
Activity rate: 100%
Workplace: University of Lausanne, NeuroRestore center (CHUV)
The candidate will contribute to the development of Brain Computer Interfaces using non-invasive and invasive recording modalities towards various neuroprosthetic applications. In particular, towards the implementation of a digital bridge between the brain and the spinal cord to restore mobility after paralysis. The selected postdoctoral fellow will implement Large Language Models and similar deep learning strategies to model brain activity and test these models in several downstream tasks such as denoising, decoding and data augmentation.
