Job Title: Lab Operational Excellence Deployment Leader

Location: Zurich, Switzerland / Lexington, MA, USA

About the role:

As a Lab Operational Excellence Deployment Leader, you will lead the development of lean capabilities and process improvement skills across GQ's enterprise of labs, applying experience as a Lean Practitioner. You will lead adoption of operational excellence skills across the enterprise of Takeda QC labs with focus on sustained execution, growing local capability. You will report to the Senior Director Strategy & Business Operations.

How you will contribute:

• Deploy lab specific operational excellence training in collaboration with the Agile Operating System.

• Lead global high value lab operational excellence initiatives.

• Foster QC labs collaboration and best practices exchange enterprise-wide with the GQ Business Strategy and Takeda Quality Culture.

• Promote a continuous improvement (CI) and eAGILE culture in the QC labs.

• Promote the use of lean concepts along with digital technologies to lead efficiency in QC lab operations.

• Lead global high value lab operational excellence programs inclusive of coaching to lab personnel on all aspects of continuous improvement with key outcomes of improved operational excellence capabilities in the GQ lab enterprise.

• Lead identification of highest impact areas for improvement in our labs and support the labs in delivery of high impact lean projects.

• Create and improve lab specific operational excellence training in collaboration with the Agile Operating System. Ensure lab-based examples are included in applicable sections of the Agile Operating System.

• Lead regulator QC lab Community of Practice forums to bring external best practices to the GQ Enterprise of labs and share best practices across GQ labs to improve.

• Ensure progress in advancing Operational Excellence skills through collaboration with the eAGILE leadership network and Global Quality leaders.

• Promote efficiency in the GQ enterprise of labs by promoting the use of digital tools that enhance lab performance.

• Lead development, collection, and analysis of enterprise level KPIs relevant to lab operations.

• Lead interpretation and contextualization of data from external benchmarking and gemba walks converting them into action items for systemic improvements of our laboratory network.

• Ensure understanding of the global program best known methods through collaboration with other organizations.

• Provide input to GQ Strategy to help shape priorities.

• Partner and align with SBOs, QSIs, GQ labs leadership, Enterprise Excellence, Business Excellence, and GMSGQ partners to create operational excellence deployment plan at sites.

What you bring to Takeda:

• Scientific or engineering graduate (BSc, MSc, PhD), in Chemistry or Engineering.

• Minimum 7 years' experience in a regulated manufacturing environment and/or quality/technical services role.

• Experience in pharmaceutical QC.

• Global pharmaceutical industry knowledge.

• Experienced Lean practitioner.

• Six Sigma Green Belt training and demonstrated experience. Black Belt training would be ideal.
