Are you ready to take on a pivotal role within our dynamic Identity team at Axpo? As an AD/AAD Engineer, you will be at the forefront of technology development, dealing with a variety of technical challenges. You will implement, assess, plan, and prioritize technical changes and new demands within both the EntraID and legacy on-premise Active Directory environments. Your expertise will drive the further development of our Azure core infrastructure and ensure the robustness of our AD Domain Services. This role is integral to our cloud journey, making a tangible impact on the efficiency and security of our global infrastructure.

What you will do:


  • Develop and maintain the Azure core infrastructure (EntraID) and legacy AD Domain Services, focusing on security, availability, performance, and reliability.

  • Create system-technical descriptions and overviews, and develop architecture and technology documentation.

  • Align with architects and engineers to define and specify technical requirements and solutions.

  • Provide advisory services to the business and business IT on IT projects.

  • Support the migration of OnPrem infrastructures to Microsoft 365 Cloud services, such as SharePoint and file services.

  • Operate and expand a secure global identity/communication service infrastructure (AD EntraID).

  • Ensure economic efficiency in the development, purchasing, administration, and operation of solutions.

What you bring & who you are:


  • Successfully completed studies in (business) information technology or a comparable field.

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure/EntraID and Active Directory, with a related Microsoft certification (e.g., Microsoft Azure Enterprise Administrator, Security Administrator Associate).

  • Proven knowledge in on-premise AD Domain Services and IT Security considerations within Microsoft Cloud Services.

  • Good understanding of IAM standards (OAuth2, SAML, OpenID, LDAP) and authentication protocols.

  • Hands-on experience with products like One Identity or similar, and familiarity with Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, PowerShell, and Azure Cloud.

  • Strong analytical skills, a conscientious work style, and the ability to work independently and reflectively.

  • A strong team player open to new creative ideas and committed to staying current with the evolving cloud market.

  • Excellent communication skills and customer orientation, with experience in agile teams and global team collaboration.

  • Fluency in German and English, with Spanish as an advantage.
