General requirements:

• Member of the unit management team and acts as a deputy in related areas.
• Leads a diverse team in various tasks within a specific subject area.
• Provides technical and disciplinary leadership to staff ensures effective communication, including training, employee development and resource optimization.
• Actively track budgeted hours and cost with his team members, plans resource allocation for employees in the group
• Actively supports tendering within a specific subject area.
• Is responsible for the timely ordering and delivery of systems and components within budgetary constraints.
• Ensures quality of engineering deliverables in the specific discipline and develops guidelines and specifications for specific subject areas.
• Ensures compliance with business processes, standards, and regulations including relevant HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) requirements.

Layout, Piping and Valves specific requirements:

• Ensures piping & valves concept and documents are of the required quality in all tender and execution projects.
• Assists Lead/Senior/Layout Engineers in the foresighted engineering and ensures know-how transfer between the projects and between proposal and execution projects.
• Has the lead in the development of HZI Piping &Valves standards (pipe class manuals, piping & valve strategy, etc.) and implement them in the P&V tools), introduces them (training) and is responsible for their compliance.
• Verifies proposal and execution Piping &Valves design reviews during design reviews and enforces necessary corrective actions
• Strong knowledge in piping standards (EN, ASME) and piping & valve design, prefabrication and material handling
• Basic knowledge in pipe stress calculation, is able to assess and judge stress calculations.

• Extensive experience in managing diverse functions within an organization.
• Several years of layout experience and extensive piping and valves experience including very good installation skills (site experience)
• Proven track record of executing projects, with a strong focus on plant engineering.
• Basic knowledge in steel structure engineering and civil design
• Capable of evaluating multiple operational solution paths and making informed decisions, successfully implement solutions.
• Possesses extensive knowledge of external systems, including engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning.
• Skilled in motivating and leading employees within their area of responsibility / skilled in coaching
• Excellent English communication skills and B2 - C1 level German
