Your role

As a Junior Investment Specialist Alternatives at Bank J. Safra Sarasin you are an ambitious individual who is seeking to work in alternative investments (private equity, private debt, hedge funds & other alternatives) and to provide excellent service and analysis to assist in promoting and further developing the Bank's alternative investment offering.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with both investment teams (internal and external) and distribution teams in order to ensure sales materials are up to date and of high quality
  • Provide support on strategic development initiatives such as product launches, sales training, etc.
  • Provide detailed and technical insights on covered investment solutions to both internal and external counterparties
  • Develop understanding of investor demand and competitive landscape in order to adapt marketing initiatives and assist the further development of the alternative investment offering
  • Assist in ad hoc tasks related to alternative investments that can involve data processing, market research or presentations

Your profile

  •  University degree in in either Banking, Finance, Business or a related field, or completed apprenticeship or similar banking education
  • 3 or more years' experience in Asset Management or Banking
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, knowledge in Visual Basic is an advantage
  • Well organized self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Dynamic, constructive and positive personality ready to go the extra mile with a hands-on mentality
  • Open and flexible mindset, willing to take responsibility with a high level of integrity and accountability
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Fluent in English; additional knowledge in German is a plus
