Your Role

We are looking to hire a System Architect for Battery Module as part of our Engineering team and reporting to the Head of Design Organisation (HDO) .
You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Define the product Battery Module architecture in close relation with the project stakeholders (System, HW, SW, Mechanical) taking into account maintainability and agility to evolutions.
  • Create the product (ITEM) specification (requirements) and perform requirement allocation to stakeholders.
  • Perform, review, improve the Mechanical model of the Battery module.
  • Perform, review, improve the thermal runaway test strategies.
  • Ensure correct integration within the sub system.
  • Identify solutions to strong technical constraints related to the ITEM (E.g: robustness, EMC/EMI, Thermal runaway, Design for manufacture).
  •  Define the ITEM product test strategy.
  • Create and/or support the ITEM verification procedures and tests campaigns.
  •  Contribute to the integration of the sub-assemblies of an ITEM.
  • Being able to Review:
    • Software high level requirements
    • Electronic Circuit Board schematics
    • Mechanical drawings
    • CFD/FEM/Structural analyzes
  • Lead process and technical milestone reviews related to the ITEM.
  • Providing support to the product integration (integration tests on target).
  • Project Management: monitor progress of activities, create/maintain schedule, estimate resource needs for an activity, risk management.
  • Maintain detailed and meticulous documentation throughout entire process.
  • Manage all data under your responsibility according to our development methodologies and configuration management rules.
  • Manage your project: schedule, allocated resources, weekly reporting.

Your Profile

  • University degree (min. bachelor) in a relevant engineering discipline (System engineering, Aerospace engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems)
  • 6-10 years of professional experience (including at least 3 to 4 years experience working in product development involving HW, SW and mechanical structure)
  • Good understanding of aviation standards in the field of activity (ARP-4754, DO-178, DO-254, DO-160)
  • Good knowledge EMI/EMC constraints
  • Good knowledge of the following technologies: Motor control, battery management system, DC/DC, data concentrators
  • Project management abilities
  • Driven by team spirit and transparent cooperative communication style
  • Dispose of an entrepreneurial and strategic thinking ability
  • Ability to seamlessly work independently as well as in close cooperation with different organization centers in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with strong multi-tasking competencies
  • Solution- and result-focused and works in KPI-driven organizations
  • Illustrates strong customer focus / mind-set
  • Fluency in English (oral and written), French an asset.
