Role Profile

As an Industry Manager you are responsible for an attractive product portfolio, compelling value propositions, services and related marketing activities in the Chemicals and Environment Industry. The Industry Manager is accountable for the Industry’s strategy execution and achieving the Industry’s financial and growth targets. He/she leads the Industry circles aiming to maximize their business results.
Your Tasks


  • Definition and responsibility of Industry strategy and its implementation based on market trends as well as its assessment of competitors;

  • Product portfolio definition and responsibility, market monitoring and communication for the respective Industry;

  • Responsible for the product offering and lifecycle, incl. defining & providing new products within the defined Industry;

  • Develop communication strategy and drive product launch;

  • Enable training and knowledge transfer into Customer/Sales organization to build a global community of professionals associated to the Industry;

  • Responsibility in his/her Industries for revenue growth, contribution margin incl. development costs and marketing costs;

  • Lead industry-associated employees in the Industry circle and define and coordinate the annual goals of the dedicated Industry;

  • Guidance, motivation and development of direct reports; proper organization and management of delegated of tasks.

Our Requirements


  • Education: Bachelor or Master-Degree in BA, Marketing, Engineering. Technical Textiles or Mechanical Filtration and Solid-Liquid Separation background or experience is an advantage.

  • Knowledge and experience in managing industrial B2B markets; Broad Industry knowledge; Strong problem-solving ability; Proven skills in cross-thinking; Ability to think creatively and innovatively;

  • Strong decision making and transparent communication skills; Ability to resolve disputes and conflicts;

  • Demonstrated ability to cooperate in international, cross-functional teams; to build an Industry network beyond direct reporting lines;

  • Target and solution-oriented, role model function, subtle assertiveness, strong sense of responsibility for own actions, consistent behavior towards oneself and the environment.

  • Strong communication and enthusiasm skills combined with a reliable and independent way of working,

  • You are a team player, flexible, motivated and have analytical and networking skills and enjoy diverse and varied activities;

  • Very good English skills in verbal and written form. Willingness for international travelling is a matter of course.
