We are a leading international school committed to excellence in education and holistic student development. We are seeking an Application Support Specialist to join our IT team, ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our educational and administrative applications.

The Application Support Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our school's application systems. This includes troubleshooting application issues, assisting with system upgrades, and providing user support to staff. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with a passion for technology and education. 

Specific Responsibilities 

  • Provide second-level support for all school core application issues.
  • Ensure data integrity between core systems.
  • Improve integration between different applications.
  • Work closely with IT staff to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance application performance.
  • Assist in the implementation of new applications and systems.
  • Train and support users on the effective use of school applications.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
  • Provide data customization when necessary (e.g., create templates, queries, reports).
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to meet the school's application needs.
  • Participate in IT projects aimed at improving the school's processes. 

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Degree or certification in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Experience in application support, preferably in an educational environment.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture and API's.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Proactive, team-oriented, and eager to learn and contribute to the school's success.
  • Knowledge of Power BI would be an asset.
  • A valid Swiss work permit or a European Passport is required.
