Job Description

As a Linux System Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's Linux infrastructure. This includes installing, configuring, and optimizing systems, as well as troubleshooting issues and providing technical support to end-users. You will work closely with our customers to ensure smooth system operation and optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure Linux systems, including servers, desktops, and laptops.
• Manage and maintain system security, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption.
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support to customers
• Collaborate with customers to ensure smooth system operation and optimal performance.
• Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
• Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline system management processes.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest Linux distributions and technologies.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours system support.

Requirements

• Completed training as a computer scientist EFZ or higher.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems, including installation, configuration, and management.
• Experience with popular distributions such as Debian, Ubuntu, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Familiarity with system security best practices and security protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to debug complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash is an advantage.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MariaDB/MySQL is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
