Global Logistics Project Manager

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Continuously look for improvements on Service, Productivity, Quality, Automation and Cost. Next to identifying the opportunities, implementing the improvements is key, involving and engaging operators and leaders.

KEY ACTIVITIES

This role will be based in Agno. You will be reporting directly to the Site leader. Key activities for this role include:

• Setting Strategy & Vision: Establishing project vision, developing strategies, real estate selection for sites, fostering external relations with stakeholders, leading a diverse portfolio of logistics and supply chain projects in Switzerland and WW and managing their performance to provide top-notch supply chain & logistic operations for luxury leader companies in Switzerland and WW
• Supply chain and Logistics Excellence: Ensuring delivery of objectives and goals with constant monitoring for clients, establishing new logistic operating models, business critical quality metrics & KPIs, aiding senior leadership during executive decision-making process
• Problem Solving & Risk Mitigation: Pre-empting potential issues, facilitating timely, comprehensive audits & root cause analysis
• Change Management: validating all proposed changes and coordinating the implementation of changes within logistics operations as well as the technical implementation. Identification of potential logistics impacts related to process standardization across regions.

PROFILE – COMPETENCE

For this role we are looking for a candidate with a positive and enthusiastic mindset, passion for logistics and string motivation. He/she is a flexible problem-solver with a strong hands-on mentality.

• Project Management in Supply Chain & Logistics skills
• Project Risk Management skills
• Business development, Strategy & Client Management skills
• Data analysis & Quality Auditing skills
• People Management & Ops Excellence skills
• Service and Sales management skills
• Experience with MRP, BOM, Production planning, WCM Kaizen, Lean management, Kan-ban & Value stream mapping
• Production engineering concepts
• Master’s degree in Management Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in a logistics operations environment and relevant role
• Proficient level of Italian, English
• Intermediate in Hindi and Telegu
• Conceptual and analytical thinker with a passion for continuous improvement
• Hands-on mentality, eager to take initiative on new opportunities and deliver targets

IT UTILITIES:

• Languages: C, C++, JAVA, SQL
• Software: Professional Engineer, Ansys, Asana project management software, Microsoft Project, Smart Sheet, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP IF3 , ERP, WMS & TMS (AS 400)
