Job Description

lastminute.com is looking for an ambitious and highly motivated Payments Data Analyst for its Data & Analytics department.

The candidate will have the opportunity to become a key member of one of the Data & Analytics teams, leveraging his/her analytical skills to produce actionable insights with the aim to improve payments performance.

The primary emphasis will be on enhancing payment conversion, leveraging the various different payment methods that we could offer in any market globally. He/she will analyze the funnel steps relevant for payments and other business metrics, closely working with the Payments Business Platform team. This entails datamining, designing and analyzing A/B tests, providing suggestions how to optimize existing and new payment methods including our by now pay later fintech product, assessing performance, and strategizing for new user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data related to how customers are interacting with available payment methods (user’s behavior, transactions data and financial trends)..
  • Contribution on develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payments processing.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in payment data to enable better business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Finance teams to understand the business and provide data-driven insights.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and decisions (what-if analysis, delta analysis, forecasts, etc) in the payments and fraud prevention domain.
  • Implement data visualization techniques to communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in payments processing and data analysis.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Essential

  • Strong analytical skills/mindset
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and exploring data sets
  • Strong knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal
  • Ability to influence decision makers through presentations of analysis
  • Good knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and how to apply them using analytical Tool (eg. Spotfire,Tableau,Qlink or similar)
  • Good experience in storytelling, visualizing data, using data visualization tools
  • Experience in business partnering/stakeholder management

Desirable

  • Knowledge of TIBCO Spotfire
  • Knowledge of data modeling and best practices related to analytical databases
  • Previous experience in the travel industry
  • Familiarity with digital and e-commerce business
