Application Support Engineer / Business Analyst

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer/Business Analyst with expertise in core banking systems to join our small but talented team. As a crucial member of our IT department, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation and support of our core banking system. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in working with core banking modules and technologies, including but not limited to setup, client lifecycle management, Swift messaging, reconciliation, e-banking, etc., along with exceptional troubleshooting and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and application support and troubleshooting for the core banking system, including but not limited to modules such as fees, loans, payments, and general ledger.
  • Offer technical support and troubleshooting for core banking modules and other banking software applications (e.g., e-banking platforms).
  • Escalate issues to key providers for in-depth analysis and resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with business users and stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Coordinate with providers and users for User Acceptance Tests (UAT) and system upgrades.
  • Identify opportunities for configuration improvements in coordination with business and providers and propose and implement automations.
  • Document support processes, procedures, and system configurations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in application support or related
  • Extensive knowledge of core banking modules and architecture. Knowledge in Apsys (FNZ/New Access) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience with payment technologies, particularly Swift, is desirable.
  • Working knowledge in both English and French, other languages are a plus.
