At this point you might be asking yourself: Paula, how will be my day to day wearing the blue sweater? I asked that question too.

As an IT Business Analyst, you will work for the ZIRIS Team which is responsible for the maintenance and further development of Zurich’s core reinsurance system ZIRIS (Zurich Integrated Reinsurance System SAP FS-RI), which is used by various Zurich Units.

You will be a coordinator between our internal business and our external development team. You autonomously manage smaller user requests from end-to-end yourself, while larger user requests are handled in close cooperation with your colleagues based in Switzerland.

Your day to day will be the following:

• Analyze business requirements, provide solutions/designs
• Coordinate with business and the (onshore) development team
• Organize/execute/support testing/training
• Create corresponding documentation
• Ensure maintenance stability, incl. 2nd level business support
• Provides explanations and expertise regarding as-is / to-be models as part of the requirements elicitation process i.e.; process, data, work flow, application etc. to appropriate stakeholders.
• Plans, conducts / facilitates elicitation sessions for business requirements gathering with subject matter experts and end users
• Produces requirement specifications, outlines solution design documents throughout the project life cycle and engages in solution design and brainstorming session across teams
• Supports the backlog management and helps to ensure the deliverables and timelines are met
• Adapts and applies different delivery methodologies determining the best for the specific project
• Identifies and defines short/mid-term requirements contributing to long term (multi-year) business visions
• Performs quality review checks on project deliverables
• Participates in development of test plan, testing, implementation, and training activities
• Conducts post implementation activities including problem solving and measurement of benefits achieved
• Participates in production support & maintenance activities associated core Underwriting and International Programs platforms and applications.

How do you know you fit in? I’ll explain:

• A bachelor’s degree or comparable qualification preferably in IT, business information or equivalent
• Proven working experience as a senior SAP FS-RI business analyst with a clear solution and delivery mindset
• Sound knowledge of the (re-)insurance industry
• Sound experience in capturing complex business requirements, analyze them and translate them into easily understandable functional requirements
• Competence and experience in conceptualizing solutions and must possess in-depth, strong problem-solving analytical skills
• Being experienced working in an agile delivery environment, feeling comfortable in complex international project setups and able to work under pressure in a multi-vendor and multi-cultural setup
• Experience in application testing and supporting/organizing user acceptance testing
• Balanced mix of business acumen as well as affinity to technologies, systems as well as data and its structures
• Advanced English language skills, orally and in writing
• Additional knowledge about SAP ABAP, SAP BW and/or accounting would be a plus
• Client-oriented team player,
