The main duties will be the development and maintenance of the mechanical design of Gutor UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Product Lines as well as preparation and update of relevant technical documentations / instructions. Gutor UPS systems are engineered to order solutions featuring customer specific design, which requires regular support on mechanical solutions during factory assembly.

Your responsibilities:

• Developments of mechanical parts, adjusting and maintenance
• 3D-ETO (Engineer to order) System Modelling (dispositions, views, placements)
• Documentation according to defined process (specifications, assembly instructions, mechanical design rules)
• Support the production and engineering department in Switzerland and Malaysia on mechanical and electro-mechanical issue and with customer-specific design issues
• Mentor and be the main contact person for other mechanical design engineers of the team
• Knowledge in Product Data and Product Life cycle Management applications is desired
• Sheet metal design and production is desired
• Experience in airflow/cooling of transformers and power electronic parts is advantageous
• Beneficial if you bring experience in Nuclear Business / Seismic qualification
• FEM assessment desired

Your qualifications:

• University degree in mechanical engineering or similar
• 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design of electrical systems (Low or Medium Voltage Switch gear, Power converters, Electrical drives, etc.)
• Work experience in Solid Works or Creo CAD (Computer Aided Design) software
• Team player, open-minded, communicative personality
• Good English skills verbal and written, German is a plus
