We are currently seeking to appoint a Junior Data Management Architect in our IT Business Systems department based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. The position reports to the Head of IT Business Systems. Other working relationships include all members of the IT team, all users’ worldwide and external suppliers.

 

This full time role involves close and regular interactions with Direct Line Manager, Data Management Department, IT and ad hoc contacts with staff at all levels across the Group and various external business relationships.

 

OVERALL PURPOSE

The individual will be responsible, under his line manager supervision, for developing, reviewing, monitoring and supporting the Data Management tools, system projects and external tools in which Data Management is involved.

 

PRINCIPAL ELEMENTS & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work on information architecture and information management strategy for Data Management Department
  • Take part to detailed analysis of the data management requirements across all systems, platforms and applications to guide the development of standards in line with the enterprise architectural plan
  • Contribute to development of data models that reflect current and future needs and provide seamless and low-risk migration whilst optimising business spend and efficiency
  • Participate to implementation of strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of database as well as Database maintenance
  • Collaborate with business, external providers and other enterprise architects to maximize the value of data across the organization
  • Collaborate with users to develop, design specifications that will improve the performance, usability, and effectiveness of customer facing interfaces
  • Maintain a holistic view of information assets by creating and maintaining blueprints that illustrate how data is stored, processed and accessed
  • Assist in monitoring and management of Data Management internal system projects and track progress against milestones and deadlines. Report on these items to his/her line manager
  • Run Data Management internal projects on a day-to-day basis and take responsibility for their delivery using agile methods and more formal techniques as appropriate
  • Anticipate, manage and resolve issues linked to Data Management tools and act as the point of contact
  • Perform support and maintenance functions on internal tools within Data Management
  • Data analysis of bank transactional data and implementation of posting rules for automation
  • Understand the high-level technical architecture and be able to facilitate debate and drive decisions on appropriate solutions

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of Microsoft Products:

- SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, DB architecture, Admin Task),

- Python

- Visual Studio (Vb.Net, C#, WCF, Web Development – JavaScript, Ajax, CSS)

- Excel (VBA, PowerPivot, Power Query)

- XML

- AX 2012 (X ) Knowledge would be a plus

  • Knowledge in Accounting and Finance will be an advantage

 

SKILLS

  • English at Business level (min. B2)
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Keen attention to details
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment
  • Project Management skills or knowledge
  • Business analysis skills
