DNP Sisseln

DSM Nutritional Products (DNP) branch site Sisseln is the largest and most complex DSM site and encompasses 11 plants as well as close to 1000 employees . This site produces feed ingredients, food ingredients, active pharmaceutical ingredients and sterile drugs according to US, European, Swiss, Chinese and Japanese GMP guidelines. Sisseln M&T is audited by about 25 customers per year and performs audits at about 15 suppliers. An increasing part of our products are being registered at the Food & Drug Administration with Drug Master File. Compliance with a broad spectrum of company/ national / international guidelines and regulations including SHE is also necessary. At least US, Europe, Chinese and Japanese Pharmacopoeia and regulations must be fulfilled. The number and types of products as well as the diversity of manufacturing processes and assigned special tasks results in a great complexity (60+ products, 10+ production departments, 5+ lab units)

The Challenge

As QA Manager - Quality Systems (f/m/d) you are part of the Quality department within our team Quality Systems at the production site in Sisseln AG, Switzerland. The position is performed within a challenging, fast changing and competitive environment and requires a high degree of interfacing skills as well as fluent German and English language skills. We currently have two additional vacancies (1.5 FTE) available to start now or as agreed (full time or part time).

The Position

  • Ensure efficiency, conformity, application, and reporting of Quality Management Systems across the DSM Sisseln Site
  • Drive a continuous improvement program for the Quality Management Systems based on Lean Principles
  • Develop and implement strategic concepts addressing new regulatory requirements as well as customer expectations
  • Monitor the foreseen regulatory evolutions to anticipate new requirements and get ready for the future
  • Drive the internal audit process, host internal and external audits (regulators, customers, suppliers) and ensure audit closure
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as submitted dossiers
  • Support the Business Partner in enhancing product attributes and product improvements, specifically in times of growth
  • Collaborate strongly with Production, Engineering, Business Development

The Ideal

  • Educational background in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical or related domain (MSc or equivalent education in Science)
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in a regulated Quality Assurance environment for Pharma & API, ideally with experience in Food & Feed
  • Working knowledge of cGMP I and II, ICH, 210 CFR, PIC/S, Fami QS, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001
  • Excellent Team Player with an ability to convince across hierarchy and functions as well as regulatory representatives
  • Strong problem-solving skills, creative, strategic thinking
  • Experience with project management experience in Lean and Six Sigma Projects, Certification in Lean / 6 Sigma would be a plus
  • Working Knowledge (MS Applications, Trackwise, Documentum)
  • Very good knowledge of German (Native or bilingual proficiency) and English (min C2)
