We are seeking to recruit an IT Release Manager to join our IT Service Management team, supporting Cembra's technology transformation. In this exciting role you will play a key part in the implementation of agile release management procedures and, working closely with delivery teams, ensure business value through timely and controlled execution of our release portfolio.

Your tasks
  • Bringing your expertise to drive the definition and implementation of agile procedures and tooling within the bank
  • Preparation and management of the Banks release schedule
  • Deliver process improvements, from both a procedural and technology perspective
  • Acting as Release Manager for key transformation projects, working in a hybrid agile/waterfall approach:
    • Managing release dependencies and preparation of detailed release deployment plans
    • Managing and mitigating release risk
    • Oversight and coordination of release deliverables
    • Managing release readiness reviews
  • Subject matter expert for release procedures, consulting with departments such as Engineering, Architecture, IT Ops
  • Ensure process compliance and participate, where needed, in internal and external audit activities
  • Work closely with key interfacing functions such as configuration, incident, problem, securing a holistic view

Your profile
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent education/work experience
  • 3+ years' within release and deployment management or demonstrable experience gained from a different function
  • Good knowledge of agile (incl. automation and DevOps tools) and experience with agile release procedures
  • Knowledge of best practices (e.g. ITIL/COBIT) and experience with ITSM Tools (Service Now) advantageous
  • Experience with source code version control (e.g. Git), test and release management tools (e.g. Jira/Spira),
  • Background in a development or technical function would be advantageous
  • Flexible mind-set, happy to work in a changing environment and willing to take on a broad range of activities

Working hours

60% Home Office is possible
