Dedicated Tax Manager for international Operations

About the department In Novo Nordisk’s Corporate Tax department we are 15 dedicated employees working in teams within Transfer Pricing, Compliance, Indirect Taxes and International Tax. You will join the International Operations (IO) Tax team and report directly to the Head of IO Tax. You will also be a part of the Global Tax organisation encompassing around 50 employees in nine locations worldwide and participate in regional finance meetings and internal and external tax- and peer networks.
The position In the role of AAMEO Tax Manager you will drive and manage all tax related matters, including tax (re)structuring, audit management and compliance, for the region. You will act as a partner through defined strategic project execution, tax advisory and tax audit assistance. As partner to the region, you will furthermore support on negotiating the position and direction of the region in tax audits, tax disputes, customs/duty investigations and local investments and expansions in close corporation with the region and the HQ tax department’s Centers of Excellence. International Operations generates approximately 50 % of Novo Nordisk global sales covering 194 countries and over 80 affiliates and thus, you will have a significant impact on Novo Nordisk results. You will have senior regional and international management exposure and work closely with your colleagues in Corporate Tax in Denmark to ensure that issues are being analysed and optimised before any relevant business driven decisions are executed. As part of your on boarding, you will work out of HQ in Bagsværd, Denmark for the first three months. Thereafter, your place of work will be Zürich, Switzerland working closely with the IO finance organisation and frequent interaction with the global Novo Nordisk organisation. You should expect some travelling activity depending on the projects at hand.

Qualifications You may be the ideal candidate if you hold a Master degree within tax, finance or law with a strong focus on international tax legislation. You have solid experience with international tax and project management in international and multi-cultural environments. You are confident working in close cooperation with senior management, advisors and public officials and you have excellent communication skills and a high degree of cultural sensitivity.
The job requires conscientiousness, integrity and tenacity as well as strong negotiation skills and proactivity.
