We are looking for a commercially savvy analyst who will lead the analytics function in our team. You will work closely with the Data Intelligence team at and report directly to the Head of Business Development & Analytics. You will work to turn vast amounts of data into useful and actionable insights. You will partner with other departments in measuring performance and in finding ways to continuously improve what we offer to our customers.

Senior Business Analyst

What you will do:
  • Work closely with product and marketing managers to generate actionable insights from data which will improve our customer -experience and drive profitable growth of our user base
  • Partner with product managers to test hypotheses on user behaviour, set up automated reports where necessary and conduct ad-hoc analyses that support day-to-day product decisions and development priorities
  • Partner with marketing team to improve attribution models and channel ROI assessments
  • Consult different departments in identifying appropriate set of KPIs in line with their objectives
  • Monitor top company KPIs and business performance closely, provide commentary and insights on performance trends to the leadership team
  • Assist teams throughout the company to understand the power of an analytical approach to decision-making, and support them in using insights that further strategic goals
  • Function independently with minimum supervision, taking full ownership of key analytical projects
  • Monitor and identify any irregularities in data that may help to identify issues with products or operational processes. Work with relevant teams to recommend improvements where necessary
  • Use own initiative to generate insights from data and champion improvement ideas with different teams for implementation
What we look for:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an ecommerce organisation or consulting firm (please note that this is not an IT analyst role)
  • Excellent problem solving skills coupled with expert proficiency in Excel and Google Analytics. Experience with reporting and data visualization tools to analyse data and publish self-service dashboards
  • Ability to quickly grasp a business's key drivers and then to formulate related performance metrics
  • Ability to formulate business relevant hypotheses and test those hypotheses with data
  • Confidence presenting & communicating insights to leadership teams. Strong written, verbal, and data presentation skills to explain trends and user insights to diverse audiences
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work through complex business problems and partner with internal teams with a consultative approach
  • A self-starter who demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness and the willingness to be accountable for analysis and resulting recommendations
  • Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment with multiple competing and changing priorities
  • University degree in a quantitative field of study e.g. economics, engineering, life sciences
  • Deep understanding of eCommerce and/or marketplaces is a big plus
