We are looking to hire a Talent Management Senior Associate (m&f) to join the Talent Management and Learning Team. In this role you will support, develop, review, train, administer and implement the key processes related to Talent Management aspects of : Acquisition, Identification and Deployment of the Corporate Talent Management and Learning Strategy.


• Support the concept and structure of Talent Management processes at a Corporate level
• Support the Talent review and succession planning processes
• Work closely with Regional Heads of HR and Corporate HR Business Partners to assess and manage retention of our talent
• Secure a strong and visible Talent Management process that ensures talent pools are proactively managed
• Support the design and implementation of metrics and measures to determine the effectiveness and business impact of Talent Management initiatives
• Develop the HR capabilities in Talent Management through communication and training of HR community in Talent Management
• Maintain and refine succession planning and talent review meetings and processes across the Panalpina group to accelerate development of key talent and successor candidates
• Co-ordinate the Employee Engagement Survey process
• In conjunction with Corporate Communications create and maintain an overall Employer Branding strategy and Employer Value Proposition
• Be the focal contact with regards to the global LinkedIn framework and develop and secure external talent pools
• Support the other key processes related to Learning and Development ie Cross-sharing within Talent Management and Learning Team
• Contribute to strategic HR projects with other members of the HR team in particular where these impact Talent Management and or Learning and Development


• Formal background is a university degree

• 3 to 5 years Talent and Learning experience, with focus in Talent Management
• Knowledge of freight forwarding industry is an advantage but not a necessity

• Knowledge about trends and challenges in the field of Talent Management
• HR functional experience and working in a matrix organization


• Capable to generate creative ideas/solutions
• Authentic with a strong ability to influence without authority
• Ability to establish a successful long-term business partnership with internal and external customers
• Ability to coordinate efforts/resources within and across boundaries to deliver goals
• Ability to work with different cultures and to manage cross functional interfaces
• Ability and willingness to effectively live and manage the matrix organisation
• Track record of building trust across the organization and must be capable of quickly building relationships, gaining credibility, and partnering with key stakeholders (business leaders, functional leaders and HR leaders)
• Project management and relationship management
• Well-honed presentation, facilitation and consultation skills
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills – both written and oral
• Strong executer with determination and drive that is effective and pragmatic
• High priority for teamwork and Team player
• Readiness to travel sporadically


• Fluent in English written and oral
• German and or other languages advantageous
