Aufgaben
Geochemische Analysen von Mantel-Xenolithen und Diamanten durchführen.
Wissenschaftliche Manuskripte für Publikationen verfassen.
An Konferenzen teilnehmen und die Labore unterstützen.
Fähigkeiten
PhD in Petrologie/Geochemie erforderlich, Englischkenntnisse.
Erfahrung mit in-situ geochemischen Analysen.
Kenntnisse in der Isotopenanalytik sind von Vorteil.

Institute of Geological Sciences Start of employment: 01.09.2025 or by agreement Employment is fixed term for 18 months. Within the Isotope Geology group at the Institute of Geological Sciences, we work on the SNF project: 'The fate of Earth's depleted mantle'. Within this framework, the post-doctoral researcher's project is focused on water contents, geochemistry and geochronology of mantle xenoliths and diamonds.
Tasks
Performing geochemical analyses (FTIR, EPMA, LAICPMS, TIMS, MCICPMS) of mantle xenoliths and diamonds and their inclusions
Writing scientific manuscripts for publication
Present at conferences
Contribute to the running of labs and institute
Requirements
PhD in Petrology/Geochemistry
Proficient in spoken and written English
Experience with in-situ geochemical analyses (e.g., FTIR, EPMA) and/or clean laboratory and isotope analyses (e.g., TIMS, MCICPMS)
