In this newly created role, you will act as an ambassador and trainer for the worldwide Lean initiative called BOB, promoting the understanding and applications of Lean leadership, culture, principles, and tools. You will train and develop employees all over the world in the multifaceted journey of Lean and support the Global Operations Excellence team in the roll-out of BOB. You actively accompany the employees and leaders through this change process. Therefore we are looking for a

  • Closely work with the Leadership teams in the development of a Lean strategy to be implemented across the whole organization
  • Creation of solid Value Stream Mapping to be used as a living document in the organization
  • Train GF BOB Lean leadership principles, and tools globally in intensive one-week workshops that contain both theory and practical application of the trained material
  • Assess the Lean maturity of production sites based on standardized criteria and evaluate the necessary actions for improvement
  • Support and lead the leadership teams in the development of the site's multi-year Lean roadmap
  • Train and coach key Lean principals and lead Kaizens with teams at different levels of Lean understanding and maturity
  • Coach the management teams on how to develop a Lean mindset and Lean oriented processes to improve efficiency and standardize work
  • Develop theoretical and practical training modules and learning simulations specifically focused on Lean principles and tools
  • Develop visual controls and best practices to reinforce principles and tools
  • Partner with staff to collect observations, ideas, and solutions as well as provide ongoing guidance/training in Lean.
  • Work with other Georg Fischer BOB leaders to share best practices globally
  • Work with Operations Controller to assist in analysis, administration, and execution of Lean oriented activities
  • Ensure that all plant teams are established and are implementing the Lean principles, techniques, and methodologies according to defined requirements
  • Leverage and lead productivity initiatives based on best practices and new process technology
Your Profile
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as coach, trainer, mentor or consultant in an industrial or engineering environment
  • Proven ability to lead up and influencing and coaching people on all hierarchy levels
  • Ideally a manufacturing or technical experience demonstrating a self-starting and hands-on quality
  • Subject matter expert on Lean tool application and utilization (Kaizen, standard work, Poka-Yoke, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, SMED, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees and leaders in a multi-cultural team environment
  • Proven experience with handling multiple global and complex projects simultaneously
  • Open for global travel, minimum 50%
  • English written and spoken on an excellent level, every other language is an asset
