We are looking for a motivated candidate to join our team within LAMASUS, an EU-funded research project on modeling land use and land management in the context of climate change. This is right position for you, if you are enthusiastic about studying farm decisions in the context of climate change and designing policies aimed at sustainable land use.

Your role

As part of LAMASUS, a Horizon Europe project evaluating policies for sustainable land use and land management in Europe (www.lamasus.eu), you will be responsible for conducting a choice experiment with farmers in France and Germany and examining their willingness to switch to carbon farming practices. Your tasks will be:

  • Design and implementation of a choice experiment and analysis of its results;
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals;
  • Collaboration and active exchange with project partners and stakeholders.

Your profile

  • Master's degree and PhD in agricultural and resource economics or environmental economics;
  • Scientific publications in refereed journals;
  • Very good knowledge of microeconometric methods;
  • Experiences in conducting surveys;
  • Experiences in implementing choice experiments and knowledge of German are an advantage.

The research group Agricultural and Resource Economics is a team of environmental, resource and agricultural economists. The core research areas of the research group are Economics of climate change, Economic valuation of ecosystem services, Productivity and sustainability in the agri-food sector, and Innovation and behavioral aspects of decision making.
