API Team Leader & Technical Leader

Mission

You will lead a team of developers, driving the API design, development, and governance using your sound technical expertise and leadership.

Challenges

Your role presents multifaceted challenges, including the governance of our API framework, monitoring and support for API development both within your team and across other departments, continuous enhancement of the API framework, and timely delivery of requested projects. Balancing these responsibilities while maintaining alignment with UBP's standards and strategic objectives requires adept project management, technical acumen, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Main responsibilities

Team Leader Responsibilities:

• Transparent and through communication skills
• Lead and manage API team activities, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Regular planning review and priorities of ressources
• Management of allocated budget
• Ensure the timely delivery of assigned projects, meeting quality, cost, and UBP standards.
• Provide 3rd and 2nd level support for applications within the team's responsibility, ensuring their reliability and performance

Technical Leader Responsibilities:

• Define, design, and deliver enhancements to the API framework in alignment with the defined roadmap, considering capacity, criticality, and benefits for the Bank.
• Conduct regular reviews of APIs, both automatic and manual, to assess compliance levels and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
• Generate detailed management reports on the state of the API framework, highlighting compliance with defined rules.
• Actively participate in the technical architecture design of the API framework and contribute to the Global Tech Lead Committee, evaluating the impact of other technical initiatives on the API framework.
• Promote the API framework by developing management presentations and advocating for its adoption and usage.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to developers, offering proper training and ongoing support to ensure continuous improvement and skill development.
