The Section of Anaesthesiology, Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich, Switzerland is offering a

Position in Veterinary Anaesthesiology (“Oberarzt” equivalent to Senior Clinician/ Lecturer) at the
Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zürich, Switzerland - starting date flexible, asap.

The Section of Anaesthesiology of the Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich, is a recognized training
center of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia, currently employing 9
Diplomates ECVAA, 11 residents and 5 anaesthesia technicians.

Candidate Qualifications :Applicants must be Diplomates of the American or the European College
of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. Previous experience with clinical teaching is desirable.

Responsibilities :Candidates will be assigned to clinical duty in anaesthesia and will participate in
supervision of interns and residents as well as final year veterinary students during clinical rotations.
Further the candidate is expected to collaborate in journal clubs, topic rounds, seminars and book
clubs. Research activity in the field of anaesthesia or analgesia is possible.

Language requirements: you should be fluently english speaking and preferably also german (or at
least willing to learn to speak german). Payment according to guidelines for medical personnel of
University hospitals of the canton of Zürich.
