Introduction
Unilabs is the largest provider of medical laboratory diagnostics for prescribers and hospitals in Switzerland and employs around 800 people.
Your Tasks
To work in line with the company's goals, strategy and management system for quality, environment, information security and work environment and participate in operations and business development. To follow the company's current list of powers and certificates.
To follow laws, rules and provisions concerning the represented area of knowledge.
Descriptive Expectations:
- Responsible for the medical management of the discipline and actively work to optimize integration with other disciplines.
- Responsible for formulating and anchoring in consultation the strategic region-wide agenda, with a view to achieving synergies and cost-effectiveness in terms of production, skills utilization and business development.
- Responsible for the range of analyses within the discipline.
- Assist and support business managers in decisions on the assignment of assignments as regional medically responsible physician.
- Responsible for medical frameworks and strategies quality and patient safety in quality assurance work.
- Responsible for development and integration of different competencies and roles within the discipline.
- Responsible for development issues and R&D within the discipline. Follow the scientific developments in the business area and actively feedback on relevant trends to the organization.
- Support the director of studies in the design of training for and lead Pathologists in the business
Main features:
- Responsible for ensuring that the business maintains good medical quality and patient safety, in accordance with the local laws and regulations.
- National medical responsibility for the area.
- Responsible for medical education, research & competence development in the activity,
- Mainly responsible for quality control of medical staff when recruiting and continuous evaluations.
- Assists business managers, quality organization, sales & marketing teams in medical issues.
- Assists the quality organization and Medical Director in the investigation of deviations
- Part of the management group for Pathology Switzerland.
- Leads the business unit's medical expert group.
- Part of larger Unilabs medical management team.
- Responsible for medical coordination and collaboration across the various laboratories as far as is possible.
- From a patient and customer perspective, continuously monitor medical developments in the field.
- Maintain continuous contacts with clinical specialties within the area of knowledge with the aim of acquiring knowledge, views and wishes about new analyses or working methods to optimize diagnostics.
- Monitor national and regional guidelines and care programs as well as laws and regulations and ensure that Unilabs laboratories are up to date knowledge of the requirements placed on our accessibility and on the design of our diagnostics.
- Responsible and decide on routines and processes and ensure documentation of these
- Responsible for sampling instructions in the area
Demarcation:
- The assignment does not include emergency availability as a consultant, internally or externally.
- It is also not included to be responsible for tasks that are part of daily operations.
- Collection of statistics and KPIs (these should be produced centrally with IT support).
- A prerequisite for the assignment is that the necessary resources (equipment, personnel, competence) to conduct activities in the medical field, with established requirements for quality and patient safety, are ensured by the business management. Assessing MC that this is not the case, S/he shall inform business managers, medical director and operations director about this
