Centre Coordinator

The Forum’s Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains aims accelerate responsible industry transformation in manufacturing and supply chains by bringing together the world’s foremost multistakeholder community to exchange best practices, develop new insights and scale cross-industry collaborations.

Why we are Recruiting

The Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains engages multiple public, private and civil society stakeholders through various channels including events, initiatives and communications. We are hiring a Centre Coordinator to provide support on team coordination and administration connected to all the Centre’s activities. The position carries the important role of supporting the Centre team to be as effective and as efficient as possible.   

Reporting Lines & Interactions

The Centre Coordinator reports to the Community Curator of the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains. S/he will also work closely with the Centre Leadership team, the Centre programme teams, and counterparts across the Forum.

Breakdown of main responsibilities

The Centre Coordinator will manage the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains’ administration, coordination, and event support. In particular:

Team Coordination and Administration 60%

  • Organize team meetings (e.g. weekly team meetings, team strategy meetings) and cross-team meetings, and take meeting notes

  • Support the organization of team offsites including designing the agenda and coordinating the logistics

  • Update and maintain team administrative documents (e.g. events calendar, organizational charts, distribution lists)

  • Support the onboarding process for new colleagues and fellows

  • Provide ad-hoc support for the Centre’s Leadership (e.g. meeting arrangements, presentations, travel request and expense management)

  • Support the Centre in coordinating institutional processes

  • Act as liaison between the Centre and the digital success team to help drive digital success for the Centre team

Event Support 40%

  • Contribute to the organization of key Centre events at the global level and at the regional and country level

  • Support initiative teams under the Centre in the preparation, development, and delivery of key program events, including event setup in Salesforce, participant coding, and technical support during event delivery

  • Help program teams in the creation of community communications, using mass email tools

  • Support program teams in community management in the digital space

  • Organize internal-facing events such as Centre Open House, expert seminars, and workshops

Preferred requirements and experience

  • Broad intellectual background, with a university degree (Bachelor or higher), preferably in business administration, international relations, public policy, public administration, environment, or similar fields

  • At least 3 years of experience in office management, coordination and/or administration in a relevant business or not-for-profit organization, with experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain organizations being an asset

  • Demonstrated abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, thrive in a demanding environment, and deliver under pressure

  • Exceptional organizational skills, time management skills, and high attention to details

  • Highly collaborative team player with excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); proficiency with Salesforce is an advantage

  • Responsible, independent and self-driven

  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English.
