Due to our steady growth, we are looking for a passionate and motivated Facility Manager (f/m/d) for Switzerland. As the Facility Manager you will oversee the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all PureGym facilities in Switzerland, including infrastructure, services and gym equipment. You will be responsible to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for employees, members and contractors, whilst adhering to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

This role covers the following responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for leading and managing a high performing facilities team
  • Ensure effective and timely maintenance and repairs of buildings, services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing etc.) and fitness equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to gym operations
  • With procurement, source and tightly manage external contractors to agreed SLAs & KPIs, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness of outsourced works as required
  • Own and tightly manage the Facility Management budget, including expenses, managing cost estimates, approvals and authorisations, ensuring no overspend to monthly budgets
  • Remain up to date on all relevant safety, environmental and regulatory standards, ensuring full compliance across all PureGym facilities
  • Work closely with the Health & Safety and Property teams, conduct safety inspections and risk assessments as required to ensure safe operations at all times
  • Monitor energy consumption and implement strategies to reduce consumption in the clubs through effective operational management and targeted investment opportunities
  • With the estate investment team, coordinate or carry out small works projects, renovations, and reconfigurations as required in accordance with the expected Health & Safety and procurement standards and within budget
  • Spend time out in gyms to understand the experience for our gyms teams and inspect the facilities to ensure maintenance of required standards and identify investment requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement in Facility Management operations, proactively identifying and realising cost and efficiency opportunities without compromising quality, safety or service delivery
  • Be the primary point of contact for facility-related issues, maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with all cross-functional stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing transparency and regular updates on FM operations

The right person for the role will meet the following requirements:

  • Professional qualification/training in Facility Management
  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in Facility Management or a related role, with a strong understanding of building systems and maintenance practices
  • Fluent German and English language skills; French would be a plus
  • Experience in managing a tightly controlled budget
  • Vendor management capability and experience
  • Experience in managing projects to time and budget
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
  • Strong management capability with experience managing a team
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Real team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Facility Management software (CAFM) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel within Switzerland as required
