SENIOR VEHICLE DYNAMICS ENGINEER

SENIOR VEHICLE DYNAMICS ENGINEER 100% (all genders)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use simulation tools to optimize the car setup and to develop new solutions to further improve overall car performance on track.
  • Support new car design for inboard and outboard suspension as well as steering system specifications.
  • Support, coordinate and analyse, vehicle tests on rigs as well as car sub-assemblies testing.
  • Contribute to further optimisation of tools and processes converging to best aero and mechanical settings compromise definition for each track.
  • Support pre-event simulation work and post event analysis review within the Vehicle Performance Group.
  • Support track engineering team from the remote garage during track events.
  • Carry out in depth data analysis investigations and develop metrics to provide crucial information for simulation correlation and vehicle performance development.

YOUR PROFILE

  • A MSc or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive work experience in the field of vehicle dynamics, simulation, ride performance, suspension definition and car performance analysis (in F1 or other high-level motorsport) - 5 years minimum.
  • Strong mathematical and data analysis skills.
  • Good understanding of the performance relevant aspects of the vehicle.
  • Ability to recognise technical coherences quickly.
  • Creative approach to problem solving.
  • A high-level of expertise in Matlab (Python and C++ would also be an advantage).
  • Strong English (verbal and written) language skills.
  • Creative and open-minded, passionate to find new solutions and solve problems.
  • Independent and precise way of working even under time pressure.
  • A committed team player, flexible and innovative, highly self-motivated and result-oriented.
