Team Leader Process Engineering Engine Overhaul

The Team Leader Process Engineering Engine Overhaul will be leading a team of 10 engineers. You will be responsible for the definition, introduction and continuous improvement of engine piece part repair processes, such as Cleaning, Thermal Spraying, Plating, NDT, Shot Peening, Welding, Brazing, Painting etc. The team acts as a technical and procedural support to both operational and administrative organization, it proposes process improvements and accompanies their implementation in close collaboration with Shop Floor Operations. The team plays a key role to establish processes, new repair methods and capabilities are developed as needed by the organization.

Your tasks


 


  • Lead and inspire our Process Engineering team by fostering a positive and high-performing work environment

  • Ensure the definition of standardized repair materials and processes based on approved data and ensure that these meet applicable quality standards and compliance is established

  • Define equivalent consumable materials and processes per Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE)

  • Support Operations in their day-to-day duties, including provision of tailored training.

  • Perform process reliability audits, diagnose process failures to identify root causes and develop and implement respectively sustainable solutions

  • Generate and manage agreed KPIs

  • Support the introduction of repairs and renewal of approvals

  • Actively propose process improvements and monitor their implementation

  • Drive the continuous development of team capabilities, in line with the evolving needs of the business

Your profile


 


  • Scientific Engineering degree (EQF Level 6 or Level 7) or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience

  • Practical experience in a relevant field or equivalent

  • Strong Operations background, preferably in the aerospace MRO business

  • Proactive and flexible character, with a strong achiever mentality and the ability to work autonomously on complex tasks

  • Ability to energize teams and oneself

  • High safety, quality, and cost awareness

  • Fluent in English (Level C1), German (Level B1) is an advantage
