How you can make an impact


  • Assist the Department Head in strategic management of Stadler's service business for cargo locomotives (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Turkey)
  • Contribute to Business development especially in new markets such as Turkey, Scandinavia, Eastern and Central Europe.
  • Assist in fostering strong customer relationships and strategic partnerships, as well as managing supplier relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
  • Provide support in sales projects in both existing and new markets, collaborating with cross-functional teams as necessary
  • Assist in overseeing operational responsibility and management of Locomotive Maintenance business of the Division Service (partially in a matrix organization)
  • Take over responsibility for managing supplier negotiations and ensuring the efficient delivery of services
  • Support in the establishment and continuous development of the rapidly growing Locomotive Maintenance business: definition & implementation of the required organizational structure and integration into the existing service organization, establishment of an international supplier network, internal structures & processes, successful recruitment and introduction of key personnel, establishment of a relevant international network of partners, customers and suppliers
  • Take on special tasks as assigned, such as managing directorship responsibilities for Stadler Service Turkey and facilitating internal communication regarding organizational changes within the company

How you will contribute


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role within the rail or transportation industry
  • Strong strategic thinking and business development skills, with a track record of driving growth in new markets
  • Excellent relationship management and negotiation abilities
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and operational oversight
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to organizational changes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments
  • Fluent in German and English, other relevant languages may be advantageous.
  • High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel (up to 30%)
