We are looking for a Underground Space Department - Geotechnical Project Manager in order to develop and retain our current portfolio of Clients :

This position is open for Lausanne, Paris, Milano, Zurich or Belgrade

Job Description

These Engineers have the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • acting as Projects Team Leader or Project Manager, in the design of important projects from feasibility through to the detailed design and construction phase,
  • preparing or revising design and technical documents, for example Design Criteria, Detailed Design reports and calculations, Project Specifications, Methods Statements, etc.,
  • designing all the aspects of geotechnical projects, for example temporary supports and permanent structures for portals, excavations supports in rock and soil, grouting curtains or soil improvements solutions, retaining walls, foundations and similar civil works,
  • effectively leading the engineers and draftsmen team and checking the drawings,
  • cooperating in the development of technical proposals during tender phase, both for infrastructures and hydropower plants projects,
  • willing to travel for short missions abroad, for site visits or meetings, and if necessary for longer mission abroad.

Qualifications

  • ETH or Master of Science in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering,
  • Proven work experience as Geotechnical Works Team Leader or Project Manager,
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the coordination and design of geotechnical works in infrastructures or hydropower plants domains,
  • An in-depth university knowledge of geotechnical works, specifically in rock and soil,
  • Numerical competences with the most common software for geotechnical engineering (Plaxis, Flac, etc.),
  • Good verbal & written communication skills in English, French or Italian are a plus,
  • Experiences in international projects and/or in projects with major contractors would be an advantage,
  • Energetic, resilient, and proactive approach to the work, able to work also in strict timelines,
  • Flexible and passionate interest to cooperate in multi-discipline teams and to acquire new skills and knowledges,
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent report writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English.
  • French, German or Italian an asset
