Finance Performance Analyst
Zurich North America is currently looking for a Finance Performance Analyst to join our Finance Actuarial Planning & Performance Management Team based out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.
While this position will be based out of our Schaumburg Headquarters, we are offering the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, your customers, and the team.
The Finance Actuarial Planning & Expense Management Team is responsible for…
Assisting in the communication of timelines/requirements and acting as a point of contact for performance management activities including business unit reviews, quarterly financial reviews, and other executive communications
Assisting in the development of written communications that convey a cohesive story, including development of analysis and commentary (e.g. MD&A), to a broad range of executive audiences (e.g., Group Planning & Performance Management, local and Group Board of Directors, investors, Rating Agencies)
Supporting the preparation of key messages, reporting and financial analysis to brief executive leadership teams on actual and projected financial results
Performing recurring and ad hoc analyses to help Finance leadership understand performance drivers for over/under-performance against the forecast and/or Plan
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR
Completion of Zurich Finance Development Program, including a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
AND
Experience with planning/forecasting models and Power BI or other data visualization / scorecard tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Insurance industry experience
Project management experience
CPA, CPCU, CFA or CTP
Strong Microsoft Office experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
