Abbott in Baar, Switzerland is looking for an Accountant

The Accountant will be responsible for Customs Compliance and Accounting support. Additionally, assisting with monthly closings and account analysis including accounts payables, accounts receivables and general ledger accounting.

Your responsibilities:

• Customs Compliance Coordination including VAT checks of import invoices
• Support the Accounts Payable activities including vendor master data management and acting as a liaison person between the Accounts Payable shared services organisation and the business
• Responsible for AP process is followed by local accounting standards and company policies
• Support business in all AP questions, from purchase order to payment of the invoice
• Support the preparation of reporting and ad-hoc analysis
• Perform month end activities such as journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations
• Responsible for the monthly accrual process, Assist in the montly and year-end closing
• Participate in finance projects
• Work together with the shared service organisation in various finance activities
• Assist with preparation and coordination of Internal and external audit process

Your Background and Skills:

• Accounting – Finance education
• Commercial education
• 2 years of experience in accounting department
• Proficient command in English and German, additional languages are an advantage
• Good knowledge of Excel
• SAP knowledge
• Attention to details and accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and towards strict deadlines without losing focus on accuracy and quality of work
