As the Embassy's Political/Economic Specialist (Advisor) you will be responsible for analyzing political/economic developments in Switzerland and Liechtenstein for Washington audiences. You will build contacts with government officials, parliamentarians, and civil society representatives, and draft reports for the U.S. government to help shape policy decisions.

As a member of the U.S. Embassy Political/Economic team, you will advise U.S. government officials and advance dynamic bilateral relationships encompassing a range of substantive topics. You will engage on financial, economic, security, and multilateral issues. Moreover, the Embassy hosts numerous official high-level visitors each year from the State Department and other U.S. cabinet agencies, and you will have the opportunity to support these events. The Embassy seeks candidates with strong writing skills, English, and German language abilities, analytical experience, as well as enthusiasm and initiative.
