Key information

We are looking for a qualified and motivated candidate to complement our Resource Management Department and take the lead of the Central Planning Team in ZRH to enable delivery of the first-class planning services in a timely and cost-effective manner. As a Resource Management Coordinator you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient resource plans and rosters, in alignment with the resource utilization and productivity targets. In addition, you will provide the Management Team with the analysis and reports to identify areas for improvement. You have to be a Leader with the continuous improvement mindset, analytical skills, can-do attitude and ability to deal with multiple projects and stakeholders. The position is located at Zurich Airport.

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Provide Leadership and guidance to the Planning Team and drive high performance culture in the department, including development and mentoring of team members.
  • Ensure optimal, fully controlled and harmonized Resource Planning and Roster creation process is in place and followed by the Team. Develop, analyze and maintain long-, medium- and short-term resource plans (staff and equipment) and rosters for the respective business areas in an innovative and cost-efficient manner and in line with the business plans, strategy and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Provide regular insights and updates to the management and proactively contribute to the forecasting of manpower and equipment. Establish a dynamic framework to review rostered resource requirements against the budgeted resource plan.
  • Ensure the rosters for the operational resources across the business and built in the optimal way, based on agreed roster rules, legal implications and in alignment with the seasonal schedule changes. Keep focus on the maximum utilization of existing resources and ensuring necessary service levels are met within defined roster rules. Highlight areas of variation on resource requirement.
  • Provide insights and develop and interpret scenarios that supports management with decision making process and strategic policy formulation.
  • Evaluate and understand the impact of suggested changes and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure adequate manpower are planned and rostered. Challenge where required to optimize the resource plans for increased efficiencies.
  • Influence and interact with process owners and department heads for effective implementation of redesigned rules and processes. Ensure full understanding of business change / problem and assess the impact on allocation process as well as operational process.
  • Ensure continuity of planning process and, together with the team, perform all activities related to the manpower and equipment management (planning, rostering, allocation support) of the assigned business areas, including the support of month end, project work and during the annual budget process.
  • Review staffing levels and evaluate resource requirement in the respective departments for additional / replacement resources keeping in view sickness, absenteeism and qualification constraints.
  • Ensure the feedback from Real Time Control (RTC) is utilised in the planning process and the engagement standards are revised accordingly. Optimise plan-do-review cycle.
  • Perform necessary SAP updates and related administrative tasks as well as support for the operational departments with understanding of the resource needs and ensuring best resource coverage. Actively participate in the design and implementation of the Pre-planning process.

 

Your profile:

 

  • Professional experience in business improvement, business analyst, resource planning, optimisation, management consultancy or technology.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, great self-discipline, prioritization and organisational skills. Team Leader or equivalent experience will be an asset.
  • Ability to develop strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders including senior executives, vendors and project team and ability to facilitate constructive dialogue.
  • Passion about analysis, improvement and optimization. Proficient in data analysis and ability to translate business requirements into system rules.
  • Experience in allocation, resource planning, resource management or real time control.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new business concepts and ethics, understand organizational issues and challenges and dependencies across businesses.
  • Advanced Planning and Organizing Skills.
  • Self-motivation, focus on delivery and personal culture.
  • Must have strong communication skills in English and German.
