PASTRY CHEF DE PARTIE, MAIN KITCHEN

39 hours, 5 days per week

We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to join our iconic Pastry Kitchen team.

As a Pastry Chef de Partie at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, you will be responsible for:

  • Checking and supervising all aspects of the pastry kitchen
  • Checking function sheets daily and communicating any movements to the team, including covers for afternoon tea etc. etc.
  • Organising mise en place for the present and following day
  • Ordering stock and inventory for pastry section.
  • Managing menus for plannings & tastings.

As a Pastry Chef de Partie, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 39 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.

To be a successful Pastry Chef de Partie candidate, you must have excellent command of the English language, with previous experience working in a 5* luxury hotel kitchen in a pastry environment. You will be able to effectively lead a team, showing initiative and open-mindedness when required.
