Tasks and responsibilities
  • Development and maintenance of ISO compliant carbon accounting methodologies and of IT-solutions for automated carbon accounting, together with partners
  • Modelling, calculation and analysis of CCF and PCFs, management of their 3rd party verification
    process
  • Creation of comprehensive LCA, EPD and PEF reports of own products for internal and external stakeholders, identifying key areas for environmental impact reduction
  • Development of strategies and best practices for efficient primary and secondary data management, and for emissions reduction
  • Benchmarking and modelling of low-emission products
  • Monthly and annual carbon accounting reporting for corporate sustainability reporting and ESG
    platforms
  • Communication and training of LCA knowledge and sustainability practices to broad internal
    stakeholder audience to anchor sustainable practices into daily operations
  • Engagement with external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, on carbon footprint
    discussions and reduction initiatives
  • Ensuring of compliance with GHG emissions regulations and corporate CO2 emissions goals

 

Profile
  • Master’s degree in chemistry, ideally with Ph.D. in Environmental Science / Sustainability
  • Good knowledge of GHG Protocol and ISO standards for LCA, CCF and PCF assessment
  • Experience in the use of carbon accounting and LCA modelling softwares and databases
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • High affinity for conceptual work
  • Good organization skills and ability to work independently in multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactive team player, actively participating in reflections and decisions, and passionate about contributing to sustainability initiatives
  • Excellent English and good German skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics to a broad
    audience
