Shipping Executive

Job Purpose:

• Shipping Executive is the key role who is responsible to perform daily import and export operations.
• He/ She must also perform processing of certificate of origin, customs documentation as well as billing invoices

Major Accountabilities:

• Handle all import shipments declaration, work with related parties (forwarders, suppliers, SCM, procurement, warehouse, shipping coordinators, brokers, users, etc.) to ensure on time delivery and cost optimization
• Handle all export shipments declaration, work with related parties (forwarders, suppliers, SCM, procurement, warehouse, shipping coordinators, brokers, users, etc.) to ensure on time delivery and cost optimization
• Manage routing orders, forecast volume, monitoring on time arrival date for all incoming and outgoing shipments
• Make sure all planning raw materials and finish goods in system are matching with actual shipment schedule
• Plan import/ export schedule to ensure balance workload of warehouse and shipping team
• Work closely with forwarders on their service level and accuracy of shipping documents declaration
• Verify for type of Customs declaration, type of permits if any
• Liaise with forwarders and insurance company on cargo damage issue
• Application of certificate of origin and/or scrap
• Verify and process the forwarder’s invoices
• Process Credit Note and Debit Note requisition for required transactions
• Process full spectrum of shipping documents required for filing and audit purpose
• Train and improve Shipping Operations Procedures if any
• Generate reports for day-to-day shipping operations analysis and performance review
• Handle all arising tasks relating main job independently
• Perform any other duties as assigned or as situations dictates

Job Specification

• A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Import-Export, Trading or the related fields
• 2-3 years of import-export experience or international transportation
• Working experiences within an Electronic Manufacturing industry is preferred
• Good command of English in both verbal and written communication
• Experience with the Vietnamese customs import and export
• Thorough knowledge of Imports and Exports procedures
• Thorough knowledge of procedures followed by Shipping line, Port authorities and other related agencies.
• Experience with ERP system/ E-customs software
• Good capacity of handling the work with various stakeholders, working independently with a high team spirit
