Graduate - Finance Strategy - Pictet Wealth Management

Your team

Pictet Wealth Management combines more than 200 years of Swiss banking heritage with global investment expertise. The Partner-owned financial services group offers a comprehensive service for wealthy individuals and families, including discretionary and advisory investment solutions, and family office services.

Our graduate programme offers you a permanent contract following a unique 24-month specific programme with rotations in different teams to build up your expertise and professional skills. The programme includes on and off-the-job components, places emphasis on teamwork and will let you explore your skill sets, further your development and set specific objectives.

As part of this programme in PWM Strategy, you will not only develop the technical and interpersonal skills needed in your future career at Pictet but will also be given the opportunity to build a network of peers within the company.

Reporting to the CFO of Pictet Wealth Management (“PWM”), the PWM Strategy team is instrumental in achieving our strategic priorities and financial targets. As part of a high-performing team, you will assist our senior management by delivering business and financial insights and supporting the planning, monitoring and implementation of strategic initiatives.

This role suits a highly proactive and organised individual able to independently manage projects and work alongside PWM’s senior managers on complex and sensitive issues.

Your role

During your time with the Strategic team, your responsibilities will include:

•    Preparing updates for our managerial committees on our commercial and financial results as well as progress accomplished on our strategic roadmap.
•    Producing reports on a monthly basis, helping conduct a quarterly financial forecast for all zones and identify concrete actions to ensure targets are reached.
•    Carrying out ad hoc financial analyses as requested by the Executive Board or the Group Executive Committee.
•    Helping the team prepare and steer PWM’s strategic planning and annual budget/target processes.
•    Supporting the team in benchmarking/competitive analysis.

You will also have the chance to work with other units within Pictet Wealth Management and/or within other entities. A rotation within the pricing team will be a requisite to understand PWM’s revenue structure, clients’ profitability and the dynamics favouring a good commercial development.

At the end of the programme, you will be ready to take full ownership of a position in the Strategy Team.

Your profile

•    Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification. Note you must have graduated less than two years ago.
•    At least six months’ experience working in consulting or within a strategy/finance team for an international company or in a multicultural environment.
•    Excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint.
•    A strong team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Functionally bilingual in French and English.
•    Residence in Switzerland required.
•    Qualities such as curiosity, a desire to learn and develop new capabilities, humility and teamwork are valued. A pragmatic and down-to-earth mindset is essential to thrive in our diverse environment. A can-do attitude and a customer-orientation mindset are a must.

Start date: 1 September or 1 October 2024
