Bcomp is looking for a

Strategic Purchaser

to strengthen it’s purchasing team and to further establish it’s place in the large-scale mobility market.

You will be in charge of managing a purchasing category to prepare our supply chain to automotive industry standards. We offer a varied purchasing position with strategic responsibilities in an environment based on trust and strong human values.

Main responsibilities

• Develop and support category strategy to build up short, mid- and long term securisation of the supply chain
• Manage, negotiate, and review the supplier agreements to ensure the performance of the suppliers and the agility of the supply chain
• Source, challenge and develop potential partnership to extend our supply chain
• Assess and manage the risks of your purchasing category
• Participate to the new product development projects by leading the purchasing process from sourcing to technical approval in close collaboration with our R&D team and suppliers
• Participate to automotive program from sourcing until the start of the production in close collaboration with our project teams and suppliers
• Follow, participate and improve purchasing process
• Support the Bcomp team on any new process implementation to support the growth
• Participate actively to the ERP optimisation and ISO, IATFprocesses in the company

Qualifications and Personal Qualities

• Commercial diploma with higher education in Purchasing or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, the preference in an industrial environment
• An engineering background and/or experience in automotive industry is an asset
• Proven advanced capability in category management, negotiation and problem solving
• Ability to work and compromise as project team player
• Structured and organized way of working
• High resistance to stress
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in English is a must, French or German is a great advantage, any other language is a plus
• Proficient with MS Office, mainly Excel advanced functions
• Knowledge of SAP system is a great plus
• Readiness to travel in Europe to meet the different partners
• Willingness to meet challenges with a proactive, positive and energetic mindset – everything is possible!
