Devops Engineer - Pipelines and Automation

Do you enjoy automating development processes and connecting systems together? Can you spot suboptimal technical processes, bring improvements through design and implementation, providing efficient and robust solutions for our development team? Then this position might just be what you’re looking for…

You will be part of our Developer Enablement team, responsible for providing high-quality systems, processes, building-blocks, templates and guidelines to our development teams. Day-to-day tasks can include working with the pipelines that handle code for our autonomous drone systems, setting up observability tools and connecting them to the right data sources, designing and communicating templates and best practice guidelines on CI/CD usage, and much more.

Your focus will be on the lower, more embedded, end of our tech stack, which spans all the way from low-level microcontroller code over Embedded Linux running on the drones, through cloud-based backends, up to web-based frontends.

What You'll do:

  • Design, maintain and own the CI/CD pipelines that build, test, package and deploy our software, with a focus on CMake/C++ projects
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and release engineers on automation projects and selection and integration of new tools
  • Proactively identify processes to automate - and automate them
  • Apply best practices, and continuously work on streamlining and keeping our CI/CD and development landscape in great condition
  • Coach and mentor colleagues on DevOps, CI/CD and automation best practices and concepts

What you bring:

  • Degree (FH, BSc, MSc) in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field.
  • 3+ years of professional hands-on experience working with CI/CD pipelines in a Linux environment
  • Thorough understanding of DevOps principles
  • Professional experience with
    • Jenkins and scripted pipelines written in Groovy
    • CMake and C/C++ build and analysis tools
    • git
    • bash / Python or similar language
  • Additional plus, experience with:
    • JIRA and Confluence, other CI/CD and automation/observability tools (Gitlab, Docker, Grafana, …), Python packaging and deployment, AWS and related services and tools (EC2, S3, VPCs, IoT Core, Terraform, etc.)
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Who you are:

With your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proactive attitude, and strong sense of responsibility, you thrive both independently and as a team player. Possessing a problem-solving mindset and an agile approach to management, you are committed to lifelong learning and continuous improvement.
