About the team: The Digital Product Innovation group drives product innovation by exploiting the expertise of the Digital Solutions Product Category Management team. This group supports business teams from ideation to product brief, providing digital leadership and expertise, technology innovation, and de-risking technologies, including rapid prototyping. Project Description: This project aims to use natural language processing algorithms to classify and analyze big data from PMI. The project will involve applying both traditional supervised learning algorithms and state-of-the-art GPT algorithms to PMI’s internal data. The goal is to gain insights and understanding from the data through the use of NLP techniques. The project will involve collaboration with team members and stakeholders to ensure the analysis meets the project’s goals and provides valuable insights. This project presents an exciting opportunity to explore the potential of NLP algorithms in the analysis of big data. Roles & Objectives: The student’s role would be to run and customize several NLP algorithms on the internal data of PMI. Their objectives would include: • Understand project requirements and scope to tailor NLP solutions effectively. • Conducting research and analysis on the internal data of PMI to develop the NLP algorithms. • Develop, fine-tune, and test NLP algorithms that extract valuable insights from textual information. • Propose robust AWS architectures to efficiently run NLP scripts. • Benchmark the performance of the model & continuously refine and enhance algorithm performance. • Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to ensure the algorithm meets the project’s goals. • Documenting work and presenting findings to the team. The student would be expected to work independently, think critically, and possess strong problem-solving skills. They would also be expected to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Who we’re looking for: We seek an enthusiastic student who embodies curiosity, creativity, and technical prowess. Here’s the ideal candidate: • Available from mid-July to February • Educational Background: A strong foundation in computer science, mathematics, or a related field. • NLP Passion: Deep knowledge of machine learning and natural language processing techniques. • Coding Skills: Proficiency in Python is essential. Familiarity with libraries like NLTK, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow is a big plus. • Experience: Prior exposure to NLP projects or research is highly desirable. • Independence and Critical Thinking: You’ll have the autonomy to explore, innovate, and solve complex problems. • Effective Communication: Collaborate seamlessly with team members and stakeholders.
